Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Winkie (ranked 4278 p4p, 24463 weight class) and Everett Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Everett Flynn will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, William Winkie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Everett Flynn!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flynn takes the fight into the clinch.
Winkie tries to pull guard but Flynn holds him up against the cage and eventually Winkie drops back down to his feet.
Flynn tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Winkie avoids it.
Flynn lands a nice elbow.

It looks like William Winkie has been cut.
Winkie tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Flynn throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Flynn pulls guard successfully.
Flynn being controlled here, momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Flynn looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Winkie puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Flynn tries to roll over but Winkie keeps him under control.
Flynn is trying to maintain the position but Winkie is very close to passing his half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Winkie in particular looking to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Winkie has closed the distance and engaged Flynn in a clinch.

Winkie jumps guard.
Winkie is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Winkie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Flynn manages to get himself to full guard.

Winkie's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Flynn wants to stand up but Winkie is controlling him.
Winkie tries to free his leg and advance position but Flynn is retaining full guard.

Flynn is trying to keep Winkie in close.
Winkie stands and throws Flynn's legs to the side, diving into side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Flynn is looking for a sweep.

We've been informed that Flynn has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Winkie content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Winkie has taken the fight to the clinch.
Flynn looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Winkie is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Flynn can do to turn this around?

Flynn tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Winkie avoids it.

Winkie wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Winkie is on top in guard.

Flynn can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Winkie controls the pace.

Flynn is looking to reverse the position.
Winkie remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Winkie has managed to clinch.
Winkie tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Winkie jumps guard but Flynn stands there with Winkie around his waist. Winkie gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Still in half guard, Winkie seems content to control.

Flynn postures up in Winkie's guard and throws a big left but Winkie blocks it.

Winkie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Flynn is one step ahead there.

Flynn is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Winkie has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Flynn is looking to defend but Winkie has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Flynn! Winkie pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Flynn taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). William Winkie!
