With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Bispen!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bispen throws an overhand right that lands on Christ's shoulder, as Christ tries to avoid the shot.
Bispen pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

and Christ counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Bispen's coach down at St Petersburg MMA Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bispen's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Christ has his foot on Bispen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bispen works his way back into a safe position though.

Christ utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Christ is trying to keep Bispen in close.
Bispen throwing strikes from guard but Christ blocks nicely.

Christ escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bispen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bispen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Christ has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bispen has managed to get both his arms back between Christ's legs - danger averted.

Christ has his foot on Bispen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bispen works his way back into a safe position though.
Bispen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bispen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
