Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rade Franjic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joaquin Osuna!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osuna misses the jab.
Franjic with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Osuna to score with a decent uppercut.
Franjic definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Osuna throws a big shot that misses.
Franjic was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Osuna slips a jab from Franjic.
Franjic misses with a hook. Osuna ducked under it nicely.
Franjic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Osuna misses with a straight right.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Franjic counters with a stiff right hand.
Osuna throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Franjic to counter with a crisp jab.
Osuna with a hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Franjic fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Osuna.
Osuna has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Franjic finds it's way round the side to connect with Osuna's head.
Joaquin Osuna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Franjic ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
It appears Franjic was looking to counter with a kick there.
Nice defenses there by Franjic.
Franjic gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Osuna counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Franjic looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Osuna throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Franjic to counter with a crisp jab.
Franjic misses with a body shot.
Osuna let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Osuna throws a front kick aimed at Franjic's knee but Franjic avoids it well.
Osuna might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Franjic.
Franjic takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Osuna fails with an attempt to clinch.
Osuna throws a right hand that misses
and Franjic counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Osuna misses with a hook.
A quick step to the side and Franjic tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Osuna scores with a body shot.
Franjic checks the leg kick.
Osuna waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Franjic.
Osuna looks to land a right hand but Franjic moved out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Osuna tries to close the distance and clinch but Franjic swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Osuna throws a nice looking combination but Franjic bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Franjic swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Osuna throws a leg kick
and Franjic cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Osuna is looking to score with low kicks.
Osuna cracks Franjic with a right hand to the side of the head.
Franjic throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Franjic uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Osuna.
Jab, jab by Osuna - just one landing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Osuna looks to score with a jab to the body but Franjic is just out of range.
Franjic is looking to counter punch.
Osuna works Franjic's body with a nice hook.
Franjic checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Osuna misses with an uppercut

and Franjic counters with a head kick that drops Osuna to the mat! Osuna scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Osuna is rocked!
Osuna swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Osuna is still on wobbly legs! Can Franjic finish him?
Osuna stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Franjic.
Osuna throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Franjic appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Osuna seems to have recovered his senses.
Osuna's corner calls for a 1-2. Osuna obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Rade Franjic has been cut.
Osuna misses with an uppercut
and Franjic scores with a counter punch that sends Osuna to the canvas! Franjic smells blood - he's punishing Osuna with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Osuna has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rade Franjic!
Our winner, Rade Franjic, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
The defeated Joaquin Osuna had this to say: ' Joaquin Osuna stubbed his toe getting out of the shower. After talking about his experience to an MMA radio show, the popular opinion is that he's a bit dim but in a loveable way.'.
