The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Silva has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Immanuel looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Alex Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silva finds Immanuel's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Immanuel flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Silva lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Immanuel will be OK.
