Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Dutch Schultz (ranked 19134 p4p, 19081 weight class) and Berto Kin (ranked 596 p4p, 567 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 31 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dutch Schultz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 40 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Berto Kin!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kin misses with a head kick.
Schultz fails to land with a series of punches.
Schultz looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kin moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Kin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Schultz.
Schultz is looking to counter punch.
Schultz avoids a punch combination nicely.
Schultz dodges the punch combination from Kin.
Schultz works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Kin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Schultz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kin throws out the jab.

Schultz moves out of range as Kin throws a body kick.
Kin throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Schultz lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and Kin goes down! The ref sends Schultz to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and Kin is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action!

It looks like Berto Kin has been cut.

Kin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Schultz counters with a right hand to the body.
Schultz connects with a quick right hand that sends Kin tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!

After winning the bout, Dutch Schultz thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
