Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Jones (ranked 25199 p4p, 2806 weight class) and Michael Dewire (ranked 614 p4p, 353 weight class). Dewire has chosen Come With Me Now as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Michael Dewire is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael Dewire!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dewire lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dewire.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Dewire has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A combination from Jones does no damage.

Dewire scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Dewire lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Jones is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dewire connects with a decent elbow.
Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dewire on the ground.
Jones is looking for a sweep.

Jones takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The referee asks Dewire politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Dewire prefers to stall for the moment though.

Dewire scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Jones to see if he's OK.
Check out the look on Dewire's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Jones is trying to escape the position but Dewire is controlling the position.
Dewire passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Jones!
The referee warns Jones that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
