Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alphonse Fuguego!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 42 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Great Tiger!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuguego avoids a kick to the body.
Fuguego moves out of range of the body kick from Tiger.
Tiger throws a head kick that half lands.
Fuguego connects with a body shot.
Fuguego throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Tiger avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Fuguego throws a jab when Tiger was well out of range.
Tiger just misses with a punch to the body.
Fuguego throws a wild body kick that Tiger sees coming a mile off.

Fuguego drives through with a takedown into Tiger's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Tiger has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Punch Out Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Tiger is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tiger is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Fuguego controlling the pace for now.
Fuguego has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fuguego is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tiger can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Fuguego looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Fuguego looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Fuguego drops an elbow to the side of Tiger's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fuguego is thwarting Tiger's attempts to control the position.
Tiger gets back to full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tiger holds on and takes a little breather.
Fuguego is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Tiger seems keen to control Fuguego's posture.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fuguego is stalling in the full guard.
Tiger controls Fuguego momentarily but Fuguego frees himself.
Fuguego content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Fuguego throwing strikes but missing.
Tiger trying to keep a closed guard but Fuguego is proving a slippery customer.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Fuguego throws a low kick but it's checked well by Tiger.
Tiger scores with a jab. Fuguego acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Great Tiger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fuguego avoids the head kick by Tiger.
Fuguego throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tiger throws a head kick that misses.
Tiger uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fuguego.
Fuguego throws a hook to the side of Tiger's head but Tiger sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tiger throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Tiger tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fuguego paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fuguego misses with a wild body shot.
Tiger tries a quick counter leg kick but Fuguego is wise to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fuguego swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Tiger lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Tiger avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Fuguego has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tiger.
Tiger thows a leg kick but Fuguego checks it

so Fuguego counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Fuguego wants to pass the guard but Tiger is keeping the position.
Tiger is trying to keep Fuguego in close.
Tiger wants to control the position but Fuguego says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Tiger wants to improve his position but Fuguego is controlling well.
Tiger on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Fuguego content to control rather than advance.
Tiger trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Fuguego manages to pass to mount!
Tiger is wriggling around trying to escape.
Fuguego tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Alphonse Fuguego overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fuguego avoids the attempt from Tiger to control.
Tiger is working to get back to half guard.
Fuguego lands with some strikes.
A nice elbow there by Fuguego.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fuguego can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tiger is looking to escape.

Tiger slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Fuguego seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tiger does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Fuguego working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Fuguego is thwarting Tiger's attempts to control the position.
Fuguego lands a big elbow - Tiger is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Fuguego!
