Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Baldur Torsten (ranked 36 p4p, 59 weight class) and Randy Randleman (ranked 9 p4p, 13 weight class). Torsten comes to the cage accompanied by Temple of Odin. Randleman comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bloodhound Gang - Bad Touch kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Randleman!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torsten misses with an uppercut. Randleman saw that one coming.
Randleman throws a body shot but no joy.
A left and a right from Torsten both land. Nice combination.
Torsten fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Randleman manages to avoid it.
Torsten takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

and Randleman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Baldur Torsten has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been informed that Randleman has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Torsten throws a low kick but Randleman avoids it.
Randleman tries a quick counter leg kick but Torsten is wise to it.
Torsten bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Torsten takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
It looked like Torsten was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Randleman.
Randleman avoids the body shot from Torsten.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Randleman! But no joy.
Randleman shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Randleman lunges at Torsten with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Torsten's hand.

Torsten throws a hook to the side of Randleman's head but Randleman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Torsten tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Randleman swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Randleman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Torsten moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Torsten quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

and Randleman makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Torsten really felt that one!

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Randleman in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

And Randleman responds with a good body kick, but Torsten manages to step out the way in time.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Randleman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Torsten lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Randleman has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Randleman and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
It seemed like Randleman was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

A very excited looking Randy Randleman rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
