Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ledley King (ranked 1617 p4p, 1935 weight class) and Mandlenkosi Thulani (ranked 70 p4p, 90 weight class). Thulani has chosen Zara - Sojaboy as his entrance music. Mandlenkosi Thulani has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for King. That snapped Thulani's head back.

King uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

It seemed like Thulani was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Thulani looks to land a right hand but King moved out of range.
King ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thulani moves away.
King throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Thulani on the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Thulani throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
King throws a low kick but Thulani moves out of range easily.
King throws out a loose jab but Thulani uses good head movement to avoid it.

King takes the fight into the clinch.
Thulani is working King over against the cage.
King tries to break the clinch but Thulani is controlling the position.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
King lands with a short head shot on the inside.
King misses with the head strike.

Thulani's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

King throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Thulani was covering up waiting for the punch and King finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Thulani is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Thulani holds on and takes a little breather.
King is working Thulani over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
King throwing strikes but missing.
King wants to pass the guard but Thulani is keeping the position.
King postures up in Thulani's guard and throws a big left but Thulani blocks it.
King stands and throws Thulani's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

King connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Thulani some visible discomfort.
Thulani wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

King wants to control but Thulani is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King throws an elbow but Thulani slips to the side and avoids it well.
Thulani holds on to King's head and controls the position momentarily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ledley King will probably get the nod.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from King is defended easily by Thulani.
Thulani chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before King can pounce on him.

Sloppy strikes from Thulani. Those never looked like landing.
King bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
It looked like King was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Thulani.
King shoots for a takedown but Thulani saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Thulani lands a big uppercut and King crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but King looks OK. Thulani waves King back to his feet!

Thulani sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through King's defenses. It connects perfectly with King's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
