PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Ship (ranked 3111 p4p, 2701 weight class) and Schmorgen Biscuit (ranked 139 p4p, 85 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Roman Ship has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Roman Ship seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 22 - 0, fighting out of London, Roman Ship!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 39 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Schmorgen Biscuit!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biscuit takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Ship shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
A slow jab from Biscuit misses its intended target.
Ship half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Ship is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Biscuit.
Biscuit connects with a body shot that sends Ship's belly button to the back.
Ship's corner calls for a 1-2. Ship obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Schmorgen Biscuit has been cut.
Biscuit fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ship on the side of the head.
Biscuit takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Biscuit has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Ship checks a low kick from Biscuit.
Ship thows a left - swing and a miss!
Ship throws a good cross that connects.
Ship fails with a takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ship looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Biscuit is fending him off so far but Ship persists. Nope, Biscuit circles away and we're back to standing.
And Biscuit tries to counter it with a takedown but Ship pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Biscuit throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ship sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Biscuit lands a right hook to the body.
Biscuit comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Ship misses the shot to the body.
Biscuit moves out of range of the strikes.
Biscuit tries to clinch but Ship moves out of range.
Ship waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Biscuit.
Ship misses with a looping left.
Ship misses with a hook

and Biscuit counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Ship keeping moving, preventing Biscuit from controlling successfully.

Biscuit has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Ship to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Biscuit is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Ship pulls down on the head and he's put Biscuit to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Roman Ship!
