Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Arturo Bonacorzi (ranked 3960 p4p, 3223 weight class) and Terrence Gordy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Arturo Bonacorzi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Terrence Gordy!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonacorzi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bonacorzi tries to bum rush Gordy with a series of wild strikes but Gordy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gordy tries to clinch up.
Bonacorzi changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Terrence Gordy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gordy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bonacorzi, pushing him back against the cage.

Gordy drags the fight down to the ground.

Gordy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bonacorzi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bonacorzi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gordy has his foot on Bonacorzi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bonacorzi works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gordy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Bonacorzi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Gordy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Bonacorzi wants to control from the top but Gordy keeps moving.

Gordy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bonacorzi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bonacorzi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gordy on the ground.
Bonacorzi wants to pass the guard but Gordy is keeping the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bonacorzi postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Gordy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bonacorzi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bonacorzi looking to sit in guard and control but Gordy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Gordy in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bonacorzi has an active guard here but Gordy has managed to pass into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gordy in particular looking to stall.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Terrence Gordy dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Gordy gets a clinch.

Gordy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gordy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Bonacorzi won't allow Gordy to sweep him here.

Gordy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bonacorzi defends well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bonacorzi tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bonacorzi looks to move to half guard but instead Gordy has passed into mount! Damn!

Bonacorzi is looking to improve his position but Gordy isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bonacorzi is desperately trying to improve his position but Gordy has a good base and remains in mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bonacorzi wants to hold on but Gordy pushes him away.
Gordy controlling his opponent.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Terrence Gordy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Bonacorzi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gordy tries to clinch but Bonacorzi is having none of it.

Bonacorzi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gordy did well to prevent Bonacorzi getting side control.
Bonacorzi winds up and cracks Gordy with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Gordy is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bonacorzi pulls his head out easily.
Gordy gets back to full guard.

Bonacorzi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gordy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bonacorzi has managed to get both his arms back between Gordy's legs - danger averted.

Gordy has his feet on Bonacorzi's thighs here. He's pushed Bonacorzi off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Bonacorzi screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Terrence Gordy!
