The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Chai is looking for a sweep. Pavlov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pavlov in particular looking to stall.
Pavlov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chai for as long as he can get away with.
Pavlov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Pavlov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chai does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Chai is looking to control Pavlov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Chai avoid being mounted?
Pavlov is pressing down on Chai's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chai is holding on for now.
Well, if Pavlov is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Chai is trying to maintain the position but Pavlov is very close to passing his half guard.

Pavlov is looking to control the position but Chai frees his trapped leg and locks up an armbar from the bottom! It looks tight! Pavlov grimaces and holds on for a second but is forced to tap or have his arm broken! Slick Jiu Jitsu from Chai there - Pavlov really paying for some sloppy defensive work!
