PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Littlewood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Littlewood kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Gangstars Paradice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams is looking to clinch but Littlewood is avoiding it.
A slapping leg kick lands for Littlewood.
Littlewood motions for Williams to come forward. Littlewood throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Williams misses with a wild combination.
Littlewood throws a series of punches but Williams avoids them all with ease.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Williams checks a leg kick.
Littlewood throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Littlewood scores a takedown into full mount!

Williams is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Poor strikes thrown by Littlewood there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Littlewood controlling the position easily from mount.
Williams manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Williams, under a barage of strikes from Littlewood.
Littlewood throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Littlewood with the ground and pound but Williams uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Littlewood has gone for a leg lock! Williams slips out almost immediately though and dives into Littlewood's guard.
Littlewood is striking from the bottom but Williams uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Littlewood moves into full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Littlewood is on top in guard.
Littlewood has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Littlewood postures up in Williams's guard and throws a big left but Williams blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Littlewood is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Williams wants to stand up but Littlewood is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like Jimmy Littlewood has been cut.
Littlewood tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Williams keeps control of Littlewood as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Littlewood throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Williams blocks it with crossed arms.

Littlewood has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Williams is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Williams gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Williams decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Littlewood, up you get!

Williams drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Williams gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Littlewood throws and low kick but Williams moves out of range easily.
Williams doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Littlewood counters with a shoot takedown. Williams fights it but they end up in guard.

Littlewood wants to control for a moment but Williams uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Williams stops Littlewood from getting back to his feet.
Littlewood tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Williams stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Christopher Williams will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The cut man is working on Jimmy Littlewood's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Littlewood throws a chopping leg kick but Williams manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Littlewood throws a right and a left that Williams avoids nicely.
Williams lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Littlewood's waist but Littlewood gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Williams off to one side.
Williams takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Williams wants to stand up but Littlewood has a hold of him and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
