Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roman Isaiah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eftihios Nicolau!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nicolau shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Isaiah pinned against the cage. Isaiah gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Isaiah avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Isaiah plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Eftihios Nicolau has been cut.
Nicolau tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Isaiah thinks about countering with a body kick.
Nicolau tries to clinch up but Isaiah circles away and keeps his distance.
Nicolau misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nicolau will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nicolau takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nicolau.
Roman Isaiah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eftihios Nicolau.
Isaiah bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nicolau closes the distance and clinches up with Isaiah, looking for a takedown. Nicolau pushes Isaiah against the cage but Isaiah circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Isaiah closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nicolau to the mat! Nicolau manages to get full guard.
Nicolau is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Isaiah dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Isaiah has hold of Nicolau's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Nicolau seems comfortable defending it but Isaiah has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Nicolau is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Nicolau is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Isaiah couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Roman Isaiah!
