Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Haggar!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Will Wrecks!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wrecks scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Haggar scores with a punch to the head.
Haggar feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Wreckss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Haggar swats away the attempt to clinch by Wrecks.
Haggar drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Wrecks managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Haggar.
Wrecks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haggar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Haggar throws a strike aimed at the side of Wrecks's head but Wrecks avoids it well.
Wrecks struggling a bit here.
The strikes coming from Haggar are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Haggar lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wrecks is looking to regain half guard here but Haggar keeps moving and retains side control.
Wrecks takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wrecks takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Haggar looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Haggar trying to control the action but Wrecks is working from the bottom.
Haggar moves into full mount!
Wrecks is in a horrible position here. Haggar smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Haggar scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Wrecks?
Wrecks sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wrecks on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Wrecks is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haggar lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Wrecks quite badly. Wrecks pulls Haggar in close trying to recover. Haggar postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Wrecks on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Wrecks doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Haggar!
