Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Serafim Lupei (ranked 810 p4p, 343 weight class) and Kollaa River (ranked 127 p4p, 52 weight class). Kollaa River has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 27 - 3, fighting out of London, Serafim Lupei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kollaa River!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Lupei. River shrugs it off though.
We've been informed that River has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Lupei throws a hook to the side of River's head but River sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
River throws a big shot that misses.
A slapping leg kick lands for Lupei.
River lands a nice looking body shot.
Lupei avoids the body shot from River.
River throws a low kick but Lupei moves out of range easily.
Nice uppercut there from Lupei.
Lupei looks to throw the jab but River is out of range.

Lupei gets in close and instigates a clinch.

River has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lupei clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

River wants to take a breather but Lupei is having none of it.
Lupei is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute River jumps into side control!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

River moves into range and connects with a jab.
River misses with a body shot.
It looked like Lupei was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from River.
Lupei scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Lupei's jab looks to have found its range, popping River under the eye.

It looks like Kollaa River has been cut.
River fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lupei has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
River bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

River has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lupei has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

River throws a jab when Lupei was well out of range.
Lupei lands with a kick to the temple. River shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
River thuds his shin into the meat of Lupei's side.
River thows a left - swing and a miss!

River flicks out a counter leg kick but Lupei steps away.

The fighters circling - Lupei throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Lupei has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lupei there as he acknowledges the shot.

River shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

River seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

River is nestled in close to Lupei, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
River is keen to just control but Lupei is a slippery customer.
Lupei tries to roll over but River keeps him under control.

Kollaa River showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

River swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
River connects with the punch.
Lupei throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
River misses with a shot to the body
and Lupei makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

River lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Lupei takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Lupei jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Lupei rushes River and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A short uppercut from River.

Lupei is fighting off a takedown attempt but River is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lupei to the mat. Lupei regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
River must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

River drops back looking for a leg! Lupei is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lupei manages to kick River off! River jumps back into Lupei's guard.

River is working Lupei over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Kollaa River is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lupei is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Lupei is trying to improve his position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Lupei regains half guard.
River works his foot free and advances to mount.
River trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Serafim Lupei has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Lupei is looking to get to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
River controlling the pace for now.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kollaa River comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got River winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
