Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ilari Hurma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phal Um (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hurma might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Yello - Oh Yeah. The key to victory for Ilari Hurma has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Um misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Um moves away from the strike by Hurma.
Um misses with a hook.
Hurma ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Um takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Um shoots in but Hurma avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Um throws a hook but Hurma avoids it easily.
Um takes a swing at Hurma's ribcage but misses.
Um misses with a hook.
Um takes one on the button.
Hurma just misses with a punch to the body.
Hurma scores with a jab.

Um shoots in looking for a takedown. Hurma tries to sprawl out of it but Um keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hurma manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ilari Hurma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phal Um.
Um scores with a sloppy right hand. Hurma should have avoided that one.
Um closes the distance and clinches up with Hurma, looking for a takedown. Um pushes Hurma against the cage but Hurma circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Phal Um seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oooh a lovely combination from Hurma sends Um down but not out. Hurma dives into side control looking to finish.

It looks like Phal Um has been cut.
Um tries to get back to half guard but can't.
You can see the frustration on Um's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Um is trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hurma tries to stand but Um controls the position and pulls Hurma into his guard.
Hurma has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hurma scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Um wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hurma keeps working.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hurma is trying to control Um's posture but Um avoids it.
Um working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Phal Um has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hurma pushes Um away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Um gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
