Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Oneil (ranked 2110 p4p, 1993 weight class) and Wolfgang Pauli (ranked 261 p4p, 240 weight class). Oneil comes into the arena with Metallica - Spit Out The Bone blaring out of the sound system. Wolfgang Pauli has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Wolfgang Pauli!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oneil drives through with a takedown into guard.
Oneil throwing strikes from guard but Pauli blocks nicely.
Oneil throws a big right hand that misses.
Oneil throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Pauli keeping moving, preventing Oneil from controlling successfully.
Oneil postures up in Pauli's guard and throws a big left but Pauli blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oneil working over Pauli with some ground and pound. Pauli looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Pauli really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Oneil. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Oneil not doing much here.
Oneil is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Oneil is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Pauli has hold of Oneil's hands but Oneil slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Oneil thows a huge punch but Pauli dodges it nicely.

Oneil has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Oneil in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Pauli tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Oneil!
