The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
da Fiel fails with an attempt to clinch.
da Fiel tries to close the distance and clinch but Mahtulak swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
da Fiel is looking to clinch.
da Fiel throws a nice head kick!

It looks like Ahwal Mahtulak has been cut.
da Fiel fails with an attempt to clinch.

Mahtulak shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Mahtulak keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Mahtulak is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
da Fiel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mahtulak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mahtulak thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Mahtulak tries to pass the half guard into mount. da Fiel knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
