PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Everett Flynn (ranked 24257 p4p, 24642 weight class) and Ines Lato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ines Lato was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Everett Flynn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ines Lato!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flynn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lato.
Lato loads up on a big right hand but Flynn slips the punch.
Flynn tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lato defends well and Flynn ends up having to push Lato into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Lato is pressed up against the cage. Flynn has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lato down to the mat. Lato avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Lato lands with a shot to the body.
Flynn takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Lato throws a hook but Flynn avoids it easily.
Lato looks to land a left hand but Flynn moved out of range nicely.
Flynn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
It seemed like Lato was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Everett Flynn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lato connects with a single shot there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lato ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Flynn moves away.
Flynn fails with the takedown.
Flynn on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Flynn is rocked!

Are you kidding me?! Lato ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Flynn clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
