Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Parta Matti (ranked 272 p4p, 575 weight class) and Ronan Darongo (ranked 39 p4p, 73 weight class). Matti's entrance music is Language (Hula Cam) - Porter Robinson. A fine choice. Darongo has chosen Chaos And Destruction as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Darongo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Darongo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Matti. Darongo does a little dance to reset his feet.

Darongo scores with a hook to the body. Matti takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Parta Matti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circle momentarily. Matti darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

A little jabbing left from Darongo on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

and Darongo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Darongo was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Darongo cracks a nice hook into Matti's ribs.

A left lands for Darongo.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Darongo, as that shot connected.
Matti takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Parta Matti's cut is getting worse.
Nice shot lands for Darongo.
A low kick lands for Darongo.
Darongo lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Matti goes down and covers up as Darongo starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ronan Darongo!
Our winner, Ronan Darongo, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
