Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksandr Pushkin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 53 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sutarjo Sukarman!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pushkin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sukarman napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Pushkin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pushkin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sukarman can do anything to dispel that myth.
Pushkin is working to tighten his grip on Sukarman's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Sukarman has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Pushkin is really squeezing tight and eventually Sukarman passes out! Pushkin breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
