Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Franz Nordin (ranked 2748 p4p, 3201 weight class) and Aahad Moustaffa (ranked 339 p4p, 375 weight class). Moustaffa has chosen Robot Stop by King Gizard & The Lizard Wizard as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nordin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Nordin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nordin with a lazy takedown attempt
and Moustaffa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Moustaffa tries to bum rush Nordin with a series of wild strikes but Nordin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nordin drops down looking for a counter takedown but Moustaffa sprawls and moves away.
Nordin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Moustaffa circles away.
Moustaffa swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franz Nordin . That's going to take a lot out of him.

Horrible takedown attempt by Nordin or perhaps it was just good defense by Moustaffa, which made it look bad.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Moustaffa, as that shot connected.

Aahad Moustaffa decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
