Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Gonzalez (ranked 1349 p4p, 1314 weight class) and Patrick Thomas (ranked 203 p4p, 198 weight class). Gonzalez comes to the cage accompanied by Alice In Chains - Bleed The Freak. Thomas has chosen LUNIZ -- I GOT 5 ON IT as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miguel Gonzalez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrick Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Topper Green and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez misses with a wild body shot.
Thomas let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Decent striking displayed by Gonzalez there.
Gonzalez lands with a nice body punch.
Thomas throws a lazy uppercut
and Gonzalez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A big left from Gonzalez misses.
Gonzalez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Gonzalez keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Thomas.
Gonzalez takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Thomas throws a hook to the side of Gonzalez's head but Gonzalez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Gonzalez was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Gonzalez gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Thomas walks into a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thomas blocks a jab.
Thomas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gonzalez manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gonzalez moves out of range of the body kick.
Thomas stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Thomas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gonzalez.
Thomas throws an overhand right that lands on Gonzalez's shoulder, as Gonzalez tries to avoid the shot.
Thomas misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gonzalez misses the jab.
Thomas misses with an uppercut
and Gonzalez counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Patrick Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gonzalez moves away from the strike by Thomas.
Gonzalez blocks a jab.
Gonzalez darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Gonzalez throws a body punch but Thomas moves out of range.
Gonzalez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Thomas.
Thomas thows a left - swing and a miss!
Gonzalez was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A looping hook to the body misses from Thomas. Gonzalez does a little dance to reset his feet.
An attempted straight right counter from Gonzalez misses the target.
Thomas listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Gonzalez sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters circle, before Thomas throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Gonzalez's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Thomas lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Patrick Thomas!
