Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eugeniy Tryastsyn (ranked 1980 p4p, 1806 weight class) and Fedor Shabanov (ranked 238 p4p, 226 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eugeniy Tryastsyn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fedor Shabanov!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tryastsyn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Shabanov to counter with a crisp jab.
Shabanov throws a jab but it's blocked by Tryastsyn.
We've been hearing reports that Tryastsyn has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Tryastsyn punishes Shabanov's body with a nice straight punch.
Shabanov moves forwards but Tryastsyn connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Shabanov looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Tryastsyn throws a big counter combination but Shabanov scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Tryastsyn shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

That has opened up Fedor Shabanov's cut even more.

The cut above Fedor Shabanov's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tryastsyn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fedor Shabanov's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Fedor Shabanov's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

During a confident post fight interview, Eugeniy Tryastsyn thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
