Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vreeland keeps the fight on the outside.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ortiz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vreeland is working away from the top position though.

Vreeland is looking for a kimura but Ortiz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vreeland to get the leverage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ortiz is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Vreeland smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Vreeland connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ortiz. Ortiz circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Vreeland closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vreeland lands in his opponent's guard.

Vreeland drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Vreeland as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Ortiz screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Vreeland! Nice submission victory there!
