Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kikuchiyo Mifune (ranked 1713 p4p, 2110 weight class) and Devon Jackson (ranked 235 p4p, 282 weight class). Mifune comes to the cage accompanied by Seven Samurai. Devon Jackson struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Devon Jackson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Devon Jackson!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Mifune closes the distance and clinches.
Mifune lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Jackson or not.
Jackson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Mifune has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Mifune has Jackson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Mifune pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jackson tumbling to the mat - Mifune dives into Jackson's guard.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet but Mifune passes into half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mifune.

Mifune avoids the head kick by Jackson.

Jackson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Mifune feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Jackson sprawling to the canvas! Jackson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mifune finish him?!

Jackson is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mifune fakes the body blow, causing Jackson to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Jackson goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Kikuchiyo Mifune bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
