Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steve Whittaker (ranked 3840 p4p, 3928 weight class) and Julian Swain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Julian Swain will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Whittaker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Julian Swain!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Swain!
Swain throws a right and a left that Whittaker avoids nicely.
Swain misses with a low kick.
Swain is looking to clinch.
Whittaker takes a swing at Swain's ribcage but misses.

Whittaker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Swain wants to get back to his feet.
Swain tries to get to full guard but Whittaker has control of the leg.
Whittaker working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Whittaker drops an elbow to the side of Swain's head.
Whittaker scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Swain is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Swain is still in real trouble! Can Whittaker finish him?
Whittaker landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Whittaker lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Swain! More strikes land and this one is all over! Whittaker jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
