The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diias misses with a wild body shot.
Diias scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Diias wants to pass the guard but lindland is defending well.

lindland has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Diias's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
lindland is looking to work his way around to Diias's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Diias keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
lindland working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Diias turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips lindland off and cradles Diias's limp body as lindland celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). cross lindland!
