These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bergkamp shoots in but no luck this time.
Bergkamp throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bergkamp shoots in for a double leg but Riser sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bergkamp had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Riser is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bergkamp Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Riser 's back instead.

Bergkamp has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Riser has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bergkamp has his foot on Riser 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Riser works his way back into a safe position though.

Riser lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
