The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petukhov shoots in but Shay avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Shay! But no joy.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Petukhov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shay is fending him off so far but Petukhov persists. Nope, Shay circles away and we're back to standing.

Shay stalks Petukhov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Petukhov's face. Petukhov staggers backwards, shaken.

Petukhov wants to free his trapped foot but Shay is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Shay is staying active underneath Petukhov, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Petukhov loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Shay scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Petukhov land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Petukhov stands and salutes the crowd.
