Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jose Miguel Verdugo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Uchima Gonshiro!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonshiro is looking to clinch but Verdugo is avoiding it.
Gonshiro shoots in but Verdugo avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gonshiro will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Verdugo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Verdugo gets a double leg takedown into Gonshiro's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gonshiro escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Verdugo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Verdugo is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Gonshiro looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Gonshiro escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Verdugo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Verdugo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Verdugo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gonshiro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Verdugo has managed to get both his arms back between Gonshiro's legs - danger averted.
Gonshiro wants to sweep but no luck.
Gonshiro pushes a forearm under Verdugo's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Verdugo is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
