Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buddy Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Buddy Murphy!
The judges for this bout are , and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy throws a series of punches but Scott moves out of range.
Murphy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Murphy throws a right hand that Scott ducks under and follows up with a left that Scott also avoids with ease.
Murphy waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Scott.
Murphy lands a glancing blow to the side of Scott's head.
Murphy loads up on a big right hand but Scott slips the punch.

Scott drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Scott slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Murphy wants to stand up but Scott is controlling him.
Scott content to stall in guard here.
Murphy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Scott. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Scott's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Scott is looking to work some ground and pound but Murphy has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Scott trying to control but Murphy is working from the bottom.
Scott seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Scott slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Scott throws a strike aimed at the side of Murphy's head but Murphy avoids it well.
A lull in the action here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Murphy is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Murphy tries to bench press Scott off him but Scott keeps the position.
Scott working the ground and pound from side control.

Murphy takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Scott in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Scott misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Murphy is pushing Scott's head away, looking to escape. Scott manages to hold on to the position though.

Scott goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Murphy rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Scott's guard! Nice work there by Murphy!
Scott has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Scott trying to keep a closed guard but Murphy is proving a slippery customer.
Scott is breathing heavily.

Murphy avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Murphy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sam Scott dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


A jab-cross combination lands for Murphy and sends Scott crashing to the mat! Murphy follows him down to the mat - Scott regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!


Scott is rocked!


It looks like Sam Scott has been cut.

Murphy moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Scott.
Oh Scott is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Murphy has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Scott leaves his chin hanging out and Murphy seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Scott crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Buddy Murphy!
