Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gianni Castellana (ranked 270 p4p, 979 weight class) and Bryant Smith (ranked 44 p4p, 146 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Castellana might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Good night. Smith comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Television - Marquee Moon kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Ron Honeybunn and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith pivots, looking for a leg kick but Castellana is out of range and Smith settles back down.
Smith misses with a body punch
and Castellana counters with an outside leg kick.
Castellana walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Smith scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Castellana doesn't seem bothered though.

Smith attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Castellana cracks Smith with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Smith pushes Castellana back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Smith.
Smith has had enough of the clinch but Castellana keeps him there for the moment.
Smith stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Smith is leaning against Castellana and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Castellana uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Smith takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Smith will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Castellana counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Smith looks to score with a jab to the body but Castellana is just out of range.
Castellana sizes up Smith with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Castellana takes a swing at Smith's ribcage but misses.
Castellana lands the left hand.
Castellana slips a jab from Smith.
Smith has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Castellana.
Castellana feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Smiths jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Smith throws a lazy right hand but Castellana sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Castellana throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Smith stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Smith falls off balance throwing a combination
and Castellana counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Smith thinking.
Bryant Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Castellana scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Smith doesn't seem bothered though.
Nice uppercut lands for Smith. That snapped Castellana's head back.

Smith lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Castellana circles away quickly and effectively.
Smith misses with a looping left.
Smith walks into a left hand.

Castellana wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Smith takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Smith takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Castellana throws a leg kick which misses Smith's front leg but catches the back leg as Smith tries to avoid it.
Castellana walks into a jab.
Castellana takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Smith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Castellana.
Smith scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Smith rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Castellana counters with a nice uppercut.
Decent striking displayed by Smith there.
Castellana is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Castellana fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Smith has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Good shot there by Smith.

Castellana uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Smith.

Smith tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Castellana was well out of range. Poor timing from Smith.
Castellana dodges the punch combination from Smith.

Smith throws a shot from downtown. Castellana moves away and avoids it.
A cross from Castellana lands.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smith tries to land a front kick but Castellana steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Smith moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Smith sizes up Castellana with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Castellana uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Smith has time to react.
