The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Menshikov.
Kim Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Menshikov doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Jones lands a big head kick that sends Menshikov tumbling to the mat! Jones takes a step backwards and waves Menshikov back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Menshikov is rocked!

It looks like Maxim Menshikov has been cut.
Jones throws a hook but Menshikov avoids it easily.
Oh Menshikov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Menshikov walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Menshikov limp body while Jones jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Kim Jones was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
