Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Gracie (ranked 1161 p4p, 1409 weight class) and African King (ranked 164 p4p, 204 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Limp Bizkit - Rollin'. Bryan Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bryan Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, African King!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

King looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Gracie!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

King thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
King moves into full mount!
King throws some wild stikes that Gracie manages to avoid easily.
King throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Gracie because King loaded up on that one.
Gracie bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

King escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gracie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gracie drops back looking for a leg! King is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and King manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into King's guard.
King looking for a sweep. Not yet King, not yet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Gracie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We've been hearing good reports from Gracie's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

King can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gracie is looking to escape.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but King can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

King wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working.
Gracie manages to work his way to half guard, despite King's best efforts.
King is trying to control the action in half guard but Gracie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

King is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gracie is just riding it out for now. King eventually gives up the hold.

African King showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Gracie moves out of range as King strikes.
Gracie half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

King cracks Gracie with a good jab.
Gracie loads up on a big right hand but King slips the punch.

King shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gracie is trying to defend but King finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

King is looking for a kimura but Gracie is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for King to get the leverage.

King wants to work for an arm triangle but Gracie is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

King is pressing down on Gracie's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gracie is holding on for now.

Gracie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but King pulls his head out easily.

African King comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well King has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A less than humble African King misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
