Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geo Versu (ranked 3181 p4p, 2270 weight class) and Paulo Blikstein (ranked 416 p4p, 316 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Geo Versu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Blikstein!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Versu fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Blikstein on the side of the head.
Versu swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Versu has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Tran MMA Gym in the buildup to the fight.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Blikstein has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Blikstein in particular looking to stall.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Versu crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Blikstein - the referee stops the clock and Versu gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Blikstein. Versu manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Versu enables Blikstein to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Versu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
