Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bjorn Simpson (ranked 3332 p4p, 4599 weight class) and Trayvon Lewis (ranked 403 p4p, 469 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lewis drives through with a takedown into Simpson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Lewis seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Simpson wants to control but Lewis is keeping busy and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Simpson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
It looks like Lewis might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Simpson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Lewis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Simpson manages to avoid it.

Lewis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
It looked like Simpson was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Lewis.
Lewis walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Simpson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Lewis is pushing down on Simpson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Simpson is fighting to maintain full guard but Lewis has managed to sneak the leg through.

Lewis is keen to just control but Simpson is a slippery customer.

Lewis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Simpson is looking to escape.
Lewis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Poor strikes thrown by Lewis there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
