The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yacht shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Yacht was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Yacht tries to control but St Pierre wriggling away.

Yacht is going olschool here, as he tries to force St Pierre to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so St Pierre shrugs it off.
St Pierre wants to hold on but Yacht pushes him away.
Yacht wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

Yacht wants to finish this one by submission but St Pierre is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Yacht.
St Pierre keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Yacht has control of St Pierre's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and St Pierre regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Yacht has hold of St Pierre's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and St Pierre manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Yacht looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Yacht can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as St Pierre is looking to escape.

Yacht is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. St Pierre can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Yacht goes for an armbar but he's not got it… St Pierre turns into him and now he's in Yacht's guard.

Yacht postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! St Pierre is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Yacht, into his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Yacht is on top in guard.
Yacht thows a big elbow that misses.
