Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Durling!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Der Hund!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hund tries to sprawl but Durling drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Durling is working for a submission of some sort.

Durling is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hund has managed to free his arm - good work.

Durling is looking for a kimura but Hund is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Durling to get the leverage.

Durling looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Durling is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hund is just riding it out for now. Durling eventually gives up the hold.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hund trying to hold on to Durling's head to control him but Durling postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hund is defending against the submission attempts here by Durling.
Hund controlling the position for now.
Durling prevents Hund from improving his position.
Durling prevents Hund from standing back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hund is staying active underneath Durling, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hund tries to kick Durling off but Durling keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Durling passes into side control, despite Hund's attempt to control the position.

Durling is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hund is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Hund is looking for a sweep.
Durling wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hund keeps working.
Hund tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Durling has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hund!

Durling looking to secure an arm triangle but Hund defends it well.

Durling is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Hund is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Nick Durling!
A victorious Nick Durling thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
The defeated Der Hund had this to say: 'sadly the match didnt go my way, but im gonna go back to training...smarter ...harder'.
