Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dudley Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arne De Rick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Rick tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Blake was well out of range. Poor timing from De Rick.
Blake connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

It looks like Arne De Rick has been cut.
Blake missing with a left hand there. De Rick was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Blake throws an uppercut from half a mile away. De Rick sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Blake scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Blake looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

so Blake counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blake throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as De Rick works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Blake stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. De Rick swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Blake has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
De Rick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Blake stays in close to De Rick's body and controls the position.

Blake wants to pass to mount but De Rick is defending the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

De Rick's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Dudley Blake will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

De Rick moves away from the strike by Blake.
Blake takes one on the button.
Blake throws a combination but it was largely blocked by De Rick.
Blake shoots in but no luck this time.
Blake drops De Rick with a right and a left! Blake comes rushing in but De Rick regains his composure and manages to keep Blake in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Blake is looking for a kimura but De Rick is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Blake to get the leverage.
De Rick is not content to let Blake control the position.
Blake is pressing down on De Rick's thigh, looking to free his foot. De Rick is holding on for now.

Blake seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Blake bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in De Rick's guard.

Blake throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck De Rick on the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
