Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Well Rounded (ranked 2498 p4p, 2907 weight class) and Jinjing Yan (ranked 326 p4p, 377 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rounded takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Yan slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Rounded throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Yan was covering up waiting for the punch and Rounded finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rounded stays in close to Yan's body and controls the position.
Yan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Oh Rounded is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Rounded drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rounded jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Yan lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Rounded has his foot on Yan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yan works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Yan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rounded has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Yan has managed to get both his arms back between Rounded's legs - danger averted.

In his post fight interview, Jinjing Yan started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
