The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broderick throws a body kick that misses
and Gaanja counters with a nice uppercut.
A big right from Broderick misses.
Gaanja throws the left hand but Broderick avoids the punch easily.
Gaanja blocks a head kick by Broderick .
Broderick rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gaanja counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Hunter Broderick has been cut.
Gaanja jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Broderick tests Gaanja's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Gaanja is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Gaanja on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Gaanja moves forwards but Broderick connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Gaanja takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Broderick lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gaanja has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Gaanja swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Broderick shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Gaanja takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Broderick sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Gaanja bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
