Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Roc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrey Sharkansky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Roc might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to ATB - Believe In Me. Sharkansky comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Riot kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Andrey Sharkansky has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roc stuffs the takedown.

Roc remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sharkansky escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Roc gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sharkansky not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Roc works over Sharkansky with some ground and pound from guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sharkansky working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Roc doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Roc manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Sharkansky takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Roc looks to land a combination. Sharkansky sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Roc is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sharkansky can do to turn this around?

Roc shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sharkansky's guard.

Roc does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Sharkansky moves out of range as Roc throws a body kick.
Sharkansky shoots in looking for a takedown. Roc tries to sprawl out of it but Sharkansky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Roc manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Roc scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Roc is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Sharkansky has managed to free his arm - good work.
Roc wants to pass the guard but Sharkansky is defending well.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Roc throws a right hand that Sharkansky ducks under and follows up with a left that Sharkansky also avoids with ease.

Roc closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sharkansky to the mat! Sharkansky manages to get full guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Roc connects with a nice short shot to Sharkansky's temple.
