Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Petrov (ranked 3562 p4p, 2960 weight class) and Han Wulong (ranked 479 p4p, 406 weight class). Ivan Petrov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Han Wulong's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Petrov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Han Wulong!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wulong fails to land with a series of punches.

Petrov was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Petrov digs a good body shot into Wulong's ribs.
Wulong fails with a takedown attempt.

Wulong is looking to take a break and control but Petrov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Petrov is pressing down on Wulong's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Petrov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wulong manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Wulong is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Petrov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Petrov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Wulong has his foot on Petrov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Petrov works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Petrov passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Petrov is staying tight to Wulong's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Petrov wants to control but Wulong is keeping him busy.
Wulong sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Wulong is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Petrov is controlling him well.

Petrov stands up.
Wulong shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Petrov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd cheers as Petrov lands an impressive looking overhand right. Wulong doesn't seem phased though.
Petrov cracks Wulong with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.
Petrov connects with a single shot there.
Petrov digs a good hook to Wulong's body.
Wulong shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Wulong shoots in looking for a takedown. Petrov tries to sprawl out of it but Wulong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Petrov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ivan Petrov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Han Wulong.

Petrov connects with a nice looking jab.
A punch lands to the side of Wulong 's head but he takes it in his stride.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wulong tries to clinch but Petrov moves away
and Petrov counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Petrov throws a shot to the body.
Petrov lands a jab to the nose.

Petrov cracks Wulong with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Wulong looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Petrov finish him?

Wulong is rocked!
Petrov sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Wulong's defenses. It connects perfectly with Wulong's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ivan Petrov!
Ivan Petrov took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
In defeat, Han Wulong stepped up to the mic, saying 'Shieeeeet'.
