Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexandros Stamatis (ranked 1271 p4p, 590 weight class) and Fedor Shabanov (ranked 174 p4p, 89 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Stamatis might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sabaton - Sparta. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fedor Shabanov!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ben Watson and Darius Henderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shabanov looks to land a left hand but Stamatis moved out of range nicely.
Shabanov ducks under a wild hook from Stamatis.
Stamatis looks to score with a jab to the body but Shabanov is just out of range.
Shabanov steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Shabanov slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Shabanov looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Stamatis feints a jab promting Shabanov to slip. Stamatis then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Shabanov slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Fedor Shabanov has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stamatis lands with a shot to the body.
Shabanov takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Shabanov takes one to the side of the head.
Stamatis throws an overhand right that lands on Shabanov's shoulder, as Shabanov tries to avoid the shot.
Shabanov blocks a jab.
Shabanov unleashes a big counter combination but Stamatis bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Stamatis has cracked Shabanov with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Stamatis lands another huge swinging hook and Shabanov tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Shabanov, before Stamatis can land any more shots!

A less than humble Alexandros Stamatis misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
