Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Petr Amagov (ranked 3963 p4p, 24104 weight class) and Nathaniel Jones (ranked 418 p4p, 498 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones looks to throw a body kick

so Amagov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Amagov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Amagov looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Amagov seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Jones had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Amagov defends it easily.

Jones lands a leg kick that knocks Amagov off balance momentarily.
Amagov dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Amagov's head and hops out.

Jones tries to roll over but Amagov keeps him under control.

Amagov looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jones has picked Amagov up and slammed him! Amagov can't keep hold of the triangle and Jones manages to pass to side control!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Amagov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Amagov goes for a double leg but Jones avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jones continues to drive forward.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
