Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kris Holdenfold!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lesnar gets caught napping as Holdenfold dives in and scores a takedown. Lesnar manages to retain guard.
Holdenfold wants to control from the top but Lesnar keeps moving.

Holdenfold prevents Lesnar from improving his position.
Holdenfold really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lesnar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Holdenfold accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Lesnar has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Lesnar could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Holdenfold has closed the distance and engaged Lesnar in a clinch.
Holdenfold wants to take the fight to the mat but Lesnar manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Lesnar's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Holdenfold drags the fight down to the ground.
Holdenfold keeping full guard, as Lesnar tries to pass.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Horrible takedown attempt by Holdenfold or perhaps it was just good defense by Lesnar, which made it look bad.
Lesnar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Holdenfold.

Lesnar tries to sprawl but Holdenfold drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Holdenfold tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lesnar knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Holdenfold slips a nice elbow through Lesnar's hands, connecting with Lesnar's forehead.

Holdenfold is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Holdenfold wants to pass the guard but Lesnar is defending well.

The fighters are battling for position here. Lesnar manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Lesnar seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Lesnar bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Holdenfold's guard.

Holdenfold looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lesnar is one step ahead there.
Lesnar tries to stand but Holdenfold is controlling from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Holdenfold working a defensive guard here.
Holdenfold throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Holdenfold can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lesnar is looking to stand up but Holdenfold won't let him.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Lesnar shoots in looking for a takedown. Holdenfold tries to sprawl out of it but Lesnar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Holdenfold manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Holdenfold clinches up with Lesnar and pushes him back against the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brock Lesnar will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Holdenfold scores with a decent looking hook.
A nice inside leg kick there by Holdenfold. That's going to slow Lesnar down.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Holdenfold.
Lesnar tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Holdenfold defends well and Lesnar ends up having to push Holdenfold into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Lesnar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lesnar misses with a looping left.
Lesnar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lesnar wants it to stay on the feet.

Holdenfold shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Holdenfold was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Lesnar tries to improve position but can't.
Holdenfold advances nicely into full mount.

Lesnar tries to control Holdenfold's body but Holdenfold pushes him off. Lesnar squirms to his side and now Holdenfold has his back!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Lesnar is trying to get back to his feet but Holdenfold has full control of the position and if anything, Lesnar has just worked his way into a worse spot.

I think Holdenfold has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
