Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Fixit (ranked 4456 p4p, 24930 weight class) and Chao Wang (ranked 527 p4p, 611 weight class). Chao Wang is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fixit throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wang was covering up waiting for the punch and Fixit finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wang has his foot on Fixit's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fixit works his way back into a safe position though.

Fixit has Wang pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Fixit pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Wang tumbling to the mat - Fixit dives into Wang's guard.
Wang is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
