Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takashi Yamabuki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bum Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamabuki slaps away a takedown attempt from Fighter, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Yamabuki has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Yamabuki instigates a clinch.

Yamabuki breaks the clinch.
Yamabuki turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
No luck for Fighter with that takedown attempt.

Yamabuki drives through and clinches with Fighter against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Yamabuki walks away with a smile on his face. Fighter gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Takashi Yamabuki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bum Fighter.

Yamabuki lands a big head kick that sends Fighter tumbling to the mat! Yamabuki takes a step backwards and waves Fighter back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Bum Fighter has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fighter fails with a takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Fighter manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Yamabuki on his heels. He'll look to pass Yamabuki's guard now, I'm sure.
Fighter's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Yamabuki wants to stand but Fighter is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fighter looking to sit in guard and control but Yamabuki gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Fighter has a closed guard, preventing Yamabuki from standing up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Yamabuki decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Fighter looks winded!

Yamabuki moves into the clinch successfully.
Fighter fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Yamabuki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Yamabuki gets tackled into the cage by Fighter. Fighter maintains the clinch.

Fighter pulls Yamabuki into guard.

Yamabuki decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter thuds a left hand into Yamabuki's body.

Yamabuki fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fighter, pushing him back against the cage.
Yamabuki tries to throw a body punch but Fighter avoids it by throwing Yamabuki back against the cage.
Yamabuki is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Fighter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Yamabuki darts in and clinches Fighter up against the cage.
Yamabuki landing knees to the head.

Yamabuki manages to break the clinch.

Yamabuki fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fighter, pushing him back against the cage.

Fighter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Yamabuki takes the fight into the clinch.
Yamabuki lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fighter tries to pull guard but Yamabuki won't allow it.
Yamabuki lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Fighter is trying to pull guard but Yamabuki turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Yamabuki with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Fighter is rocked!
Yamabuki has Fighter pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Fighter is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Yamabuki - that's hurt Fighter badly! Oh, another knee lands and Fighter is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Fighter doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Takashi Yamabuki!
